v2rayN: the desktop hub for configuration and routing
v2rayN is suited to Windows, macOS, and Linux users. Its main advantage is not support for one particular protocol, but the way it brings subscription updates, server organization, system proxy settings, routing rules, TUN, and log viewing into one desktop interface. With many servers, you can organize configurations by subscription source or purpose instead of repeatedly searching a long list.
First-time setup usually takes four steps: import a subscription, update the server list, select a configuration, and start the system proxy. Complexity rises once you open routing and TUN settings. Routing rules can involve domains, IPs, processes, and outbound actions; TUN also captures traffic from programs that ignore system proxy settings, so it is better suited to users who understand the basic connection flow.
v2rayN is also well suited to troubleshooting. Desktop space lets you view core logs, connection results, and configuration lists together, making it easier to identify port conflicts, invalid fields, certificate issues, or unmatched rules than on mobile. If you maintain only one subscription, advanced menus can usually stay at their defaults.
